Our advice DTF (Direct To Film)
Pressing the DTF Transfer is a crucial step to ensure an impeccable and sustainable result on your textiles. Following the best pressing practices will allow you to obtain vibrating and resistant patterns, while achieving an elegant matte look. Here are some tips to succeed in your DTF pressing process:
1. Meticulous preparation:
Make sure your textile support is clean, dry and free from dirt, oil or particulates. A clean support promotes optimal adhesion of the pattern.
2. Adjust Your Press:
For cotton, set your hot press to 150°C (302°F). For polyester, set it to 120°C (248°F). Adjust the pressure to a high level for a uniform and effective application of the pattern.
3. Pressing for Cotton:
Press the pattern on cotton using a strong pressure for 12 seconds at 150°C (302°F). Uniform pressure is essential.
4. Pressing for Polyester:
For polyester, press the pattern for 12 seconds at 120°C (248°F). Make sure the pressure is evenly distributed.
5. Delicacy:
Wait a few moments after pressing before removing the DTF film. Gently remove the film while it is still hot to get sharp contours.
6. Second Press for Mat Appearance and Best Resistance:
To get a matte look, do a second pressing. After removing the film from the first press, place the textile in the press without the film. Apply an average pressure for about 5 seconds at the same temperature.
7. Cooling and Finishing:
Let the textile cool after the second pressing. This will allow the motive to anchor perfectly. Once cooled, admire the matte appearance of the DTF pattern.
8. Prerequisite tests:
Before applying the patterns to the final products, perform tests on similar samples. This will help you adjust the parameters according to textile type and ambient conditions.
By following these textile-specific tips and paying attention to details, you can obtain matt and durable DTF patterns, adapted to the requirements of cotton and polyester. Free your creativity by embellishing your textiles in a professional and distinctive way.
